Most of what we come across in this thread is general criticism of business practice in China. Generally, visa requests are often made by greasing palms, but then again that's how many things work in Eastern Europe, and even our own countries. I don't have a problem with this because bureaucracy is something I would prefer to see less of, so therefore getting round the system is something I applaud.
China's not that bad. I had my ups and downs, but I came out of it ok, and on the whole I found Expertise and its staff to be good employers.
It sound very much like when these schools were treating you badly, nice old Expertise said to you it's not our fault, we are nice people, we only have contracts with these schools, in which we do not bother to make any agreement about the classes you will teach, what you will teach, where you will spend time to relax between lessons (a teachers' rest room is a must) facilitities you can avail yourself of, how the Chinese staff must treat you in and outside the classroom. In fact we don't dot any i or cross any t whatsoever on our teachers behalves, to promote any sort of cohesion between school and teachers- our only concern is that you pay us the agreed amount for the foreign teacher we have supplied.
It is total bolderdash to tell us we shouldn't blame the employer we should blame the schools. If the schools treat you like rubbish and your employer allows this sorry state of affairs, your employer must be a rubbish one.
There is ample evidence that Expertise is a rubbish employer and you have assisted and added to that proof.
