You have got a job as a TA at a school in England, and kudos for that.
Unfortunately too many FT's, and using the poster Tom's words here, aren't even qualified to clean the toilets in a school back in ol' Blighty...so what do those 'teachers' do...they either move elsewhere, or they stay...?!
Sorry to interfere. Yes, I did say that but i want to make it clear that it's also a fact that most Natural Born English Speakers in China make first class FT's. Even those from Bangkok university make far better English teachers than degree-carrying foreigners (non westerners)
Something interesting- Chinese Master degree holders who live in the UK are likely to find themselves washing dishes in a greasy spoon. My wife's friend who was a teacher in China with a masters is even as we speak filling up the pigswill in Surrey. Their qualifications are not too good. They have the impudence to pass remarks on FT's education.
