I'd have to agree with you, but as you and I both know, foreign teachers in China find it very hard to find good employers, because they are spread very thin on the ground. We should talk in terms of relative degrees of crap in the context of the education providers in China. That would be more accurate. Let me suggest a scale of crap. The best would be 'barely tolerable crap'. And the worst would be 'intolerably crap'. I'd rate this private school as the former, based on the original poster's post. It's not too bad, as far as Chinese schools go, in my opinion.
Of course I realize that you, being a true academic, wouldn't tolerate any level of crap. Msybe that's the main reason you're outwith China. Have fun with your lovable crocs!
