Technically speaking in Zhejiang you do need a degree certificate to get a z visa. Although having lived in Zhejiang for 4 years i can think of 2 examples where teachers have obtained them without a degree. On both occasions it required the school calling in a couple of favors from the powers that be.

It's more likely that they can't provide you with a z-visa and will ask you to work on business or even tourist visas. This would be illegal. Therefore, the question is do you want to work for a business that is willing to break the law? If they are willing to ask you to enter the country illegally what else are they going to ask you to do?

I'm not sure what the rules are for Jilin province. I've heard some authorities will accept experience in lieu of qualifications.

Also Xiaoshan isn't really Hangzhou. It's where Hangzhou airport is and is about 45mins from the Hangzhou city centre.
