As I posted in another thread, years ago this board was a great tool to get reviews, information and a chance to connect with former teachers about school working conditions. I have personally followed some of the older posters advice in the past.

Seeing it now, the board has decended into an online version of an “expat bar” with people constantly complaing about everything Chinese and others chiming in on cue. Also, claiming that they are some kind of expert and it's a privladge for a school to employ them. In my experience, this overly sense of entitlement is developed after spending years in China being treated “special” just because he/she is a foreign citizen. Though some posters that claim to want to find schools with little or no FT there, yet they come online and activly seek them out.

There are a lot of useful and legitamite posts here about schools violating contracts, not providing visa, not paying salaries and so on but those posts are drown out by the endless BS that gets posted here by teachers that either got fired for doing a rubbish job or people that just can’t hack it, complaining about the students behaviour or that the school was 20 minutes from their home (and blah blah blah). Some of these so called “school reviews” only state that the school is bad without any information to support it. Also, in a lot of cases there is nothing to show that the school failed to follow the contract.
