Thanks Dave.

I am trying to be proactive, I am not afraid of hard manual work, and so am applying for work even on nights. It is just that there is not much out there due to the workfare scheme, and the fact I have been in ESL in China, and in the eyes of most UK employers don't have a proveable work record. It is pretty depressing to accept all I can do is get work on nights, but I don't have the funds or will to train for 1 year to get QTS, and I don't like teaching primary kids so it is not even an option. The 9,000 UKP bursary does not even sugarcoat it either. At the end of the day, the only person to blame is me, I made the choice to teach in China.

I just hope some of the younger guys will read this and maybe consider their options. All the time you are having a great time in China, you are actually cutting yourself off back home.
