I've actually spoken to Steve before about the school and it appeared that he was quite honest about the pros and cons of working there. He has even admitted that there was some truth in what Robert said. My general impression is that there is a slight problem in regards to recruitment at the school, but they fully intend to improve things.

Although I agree with a lot of things that Turnoi will say, I must say that I disagree with him on this one slightly.
Although it is essential that any school recruits a competent teacher; all organizations in every industry will usually give training to all of their staff on a regular basis, even if it is only merely a refresher course, getting new teachers acquainted with the materials or more experienced guys helping those younger teachers with good raw potential . However it is only right that staff are reimbursed for their time when participating, in my opinion.

[topic removed from initial post]. As for the rules against socialising with staff (not students), that sounds rather odd and I think Steve might need to clarify that, but I don't think it is 100% true. However, teachers shouldn't complain about a lack of English speaking nightlife in a non-English speaking country and also Fushun ain't exactly Las Vegas to say the least.
