Do you imagine for one moment that the Mormons and other aggressive fundamentalists arrive in China, to put bums on seats, by expecting Chinese students to battle through King James Bible, or for that matter any Bible version which hasn't been put into modern English? Certainly not, these people are very organised.

As for the over use of 'and' well, that is down to choice. Charles Dickens, is often, and, and, and, and. I don't think either of us are qualified to argue with the great man.

Having said that, some Chinese students would be up to more difficult and dated English, and they find it very interesting. I know because I have offered it up to some(not Biblical)
