I would have to agree in that case. For some FT's four bottles of beer is not so much. If they are a bit tipsy it's still ok to teach. Going to the class totally pissed is another story!

I don't smoke but fag smoke smells quite nice to me. Most of the really zealous anti-smoking types are reformed holier than thou given-uppers. If somebody visits my flat I say, please feel free to smoke and promptly produce an ash tray. The polution on the streets is likely to do you more harm than cigarette smoke.

As long as he doesn't fall down and hurt himself, a good teacher will excel if he's pissed. Good God, an FT's job in China is a long holiday job and he should enjoy himself.
