The training center was owned by "Sabrina aka Victoria" CUI in Baotou, Inner Mongolia. She sold it to a Mr. Wang earlier in 2013. I taught at at the location for 4 continuous years. There is a fine line between determination to not give up and outright stupidity. I crossed it long ago. I am the 17th teacher to leave in the 5 years the place has existed. Mr. Bendedick (Magic City Morning Star) was the first teacher there and he did not stay long. He left a few months prior to my arrival - I was the second teacher there. Things have been bad for years although the new owner is a complete failure in all respects. A history of evading questions, dodgy answers, attempts to hold passports has been standard practice at CUIEE (EET/AET). Now, even day to day school operations are being neglected. Phone bills unpaid, electric bills unpaid and late salary payments are now occurring. I had to leave China because the owner failed to register ownership and name changes with the local PSB. They waited too long to begin the renewal of my residence and work permit and that combined with his failure to do the school's paperwork correctly left no time to start the process over. They wanted me to trust them enough to go to HK and start over from there. They promised to complete the needed documents (still not done 5 days before my permits expired) and wait for them to send them to the embassy there. They actually tried to blame it all on me by saying I did not have a Z-visa! I had been there 4 years and still have my residence and work permits in my passport. Oh, they also tried to deny having my passport. Had to threaten them with the PSB at which point Mr. Wang fished it from his desk. The PSB were kind enough to tell a translator friend of mine the real reason. Beware of any "new" training center in Baotou incase the name changed.
