2. Never take for granted what any Chinese official or businessman is telling you - they are all liars! Be prepared for the worst and have a second job ready where you can go if it doesn't work out with the first one (I did not become homeless or was in any way confused about where to go after I told Ocean Uni I would not work for them as I had worked on alternatives before I left them. Even if the alternative is not so good either, you can survive for some time until you find something better).

If you hadn't of had another job to go to, the same might have happened again, because you wouldn't have had time to check them out first. And that could have been costly.
