He didn't state the contrary, and he had reiterated in a second post, somebody intoxicated is fine to teach so long ad they shower and have breath mints. This is abhorrent and indefensible.
Again, if you cannot handle 'the system' in China, leave. Do not become part of the problem. And if you stay and become part of the problem, then you do not deserve defense, you deserve help out of the country. You cannot blame a country for an individual's choices.
Re: public school and these problems not happening. I thought you read his post several times? He stated quite clearly that teachers in public schools often have the smell of baiju on their breath during the day. And that turning up smelling of booze was perfectly acceptable there. I've been in public schools in China and I have seen this myself. It's only your bias that prevents you from seeing that. Turning up drunk/hungover is acceptable at a public school (according to CT), but not at a TC (according to CT). I know what that tells me.
Something being broken doesn't mean that you add to the problem. That's inexcusable. If you are teaching you should be giving your best to your students. End of story.
No smoke-screen about trade unions, wanting to defend the teacher... The teacher is not always defensible.
