it's about your students missing a lesson! THEY are your priority!

Wrong again. The students (esp. in China) won't remember or thank you once you have buggered off. To them you are just there to help them pass the gao kao and even then you don't have that much impact, all they want is to get into a good university, and for some of them go abroad. They certainly won't remember Beth the ESL teacher when they are living it large in Canada or Shanghai or whereever. I think you lack a lot of understanding of chinese culture, confucianism, and the inner and outer circles.

My priority is getting my Club World flight home each summer, so I can sit there with a glass of champagne and think thank god I am out of that polluted hellhole and look forward to sitting by a swimming pool in sunny spain.
