I agree with Turnoi, China is all about relations, I had crappy jobs until I met the right person while working at a training center, this person then introduced me to the chief of the Guangdong board of education, from then I got teaching jobs in clean new schools located in city centers where I had like 6 classes per week and earned 35000rmb/month, and I am not a native English speaker but who cares this is China, doctors are not real doctors here for e.g., now I am independent and make even more money, I am on a working visa obtained through a public university that I don't work for, this is illegal but the local government don't bother me at all thanks to my relations. Also speaking putonghua helps, obviously.
