SCHOOLS AND RECRUITERS REVIEWS

Simple: It was convenient. When I taught my students, I did my best and always made every effort to ensure all students were active and engaged. I received numerous letters from parents praising my teaching methodology, and even received a letter of compliment from the school director. My teaching was not affected by my loathing of the school; I hated the admin, yes, but that did not have an impact on my work as a teacher. Some of the other "teachers" were terrible, not just as teachers, but as human beings, so that also left an impression. Basically I did my job well while I was there and maintaining my employment was important so that I did not have any issues with getting a visa. Not only that, but I also had to consider my wife and son, plus our two dogs. You can judge all you want, and that is fair enough seeing how I lied about my original reviews, but I did so for a very good reason. If the principal had been professional, there would not have been any problem. However, he was the type of person to hold personal grudges for no reason whatsoever, though a lot of people speculated that if you didn't kiss his ass, you'd be in for trouble. I didn't kiss ass, therefore I was unfortunately put in a tough spot...though the school always took me back year after year...but in the final year (when I wrote those positive reviews), I was getting bad vibes from the principal, and seeing how I knew I would be leaving soon, I just wanted to play it safe and try to do something that might help my cause for continuing for that last stint...

The other reason for wanting to stay at this particular school was its location. I lived only a short drive from the campus, and it was also nearby a lot of my suppliers (I was also working for my family to help them source medical parts). It offered a lot of holiday time which I used to pursue my other career.

I hope that answers your question. In hindsight was it really necessary to post false reviews? Probably not...but I was under a lot of stress with the big move home, and I didn't want any major hassles in my final year in China...
