I'm involved in two small businesses in China neither of which is connected to education. In my experience it is very easy to set up a small business or MSE in China and I don't agree that the laws in China inhibit this is any way. Many small businesses are family-run and the family often live above the business and stay open long hours.

Forces at work are encouraging me to open up a small business in China, so i am interested in what you mean by the above ,namely 'involved in' What does that mean, does it mean that as a foreigner it was a cinch to get a business in your name and accompanying business visa, or was the best way to have the business in the wife's name and to pull a fast one by working illegally in 'her' business? I want to see what all this freedom amounts to. It doesn't worry me too much to work illegally if needs be I should say?
