I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I have
received from ESL Job Finder.

When my initial face value payment of £264 on January 6, 2012 for
Placement Package II was debited, the debit included a previously
undisclosed 23% tax charge of £56 i.e. a total debit of £320. This
came as a shock to me.
After using ESL Job Finder’s site on May 21, 2012, I received a second
request for an initial Placement Package payment. On querying this on
May 30, 2012, I received no explanation but, rather, a request for an
additional Visa Processing payment that was not included in the
Placement Package fee relative to employment in France - this, despite
my EU citizenship, and the fact no job offer was forthcoming.
I have used your internet site more than once to request a call from
one of your staff for reassurance, but heard nothing.
I have now paid ESL Job Finder’s premium Placement Package fee, been
asked to make the payment again, then asked to make a further payment
re: European work visas, despite not having had the opportunity to
discuss, with any prospective employer, details of an appointment. In
fact, every direct effort I have made to find out more about specific
jobs advertised on your site I have applied for has been evaded or
ignored.
The Placement Package I signed up for - in terms of the initial fee -
was misleading and seems open to interpretation in terms of what it
guarantees. For example: ESL Job Finder stressed that no
accommodation was provided re: a post in Geneva at a school to which
the Support Team had forwarded my details (February, 2112). Since I
was actively considering the post, I wrote to the Support Team asking
for confirmation that, as part of my Placement Package, assistance
with accommodation would be provided, in the hope of pursuing the
application. I received no such assurance and have heard nothing
further on the post.
None of the above is consistent with good professional practice, and I
no longer feel able to contemplate taking up a position through a body
whose administration inspires so little confidence. This is a grave
disappointment.
Further, since you have failed to deliver the service I paid for, I
think it only fair that my fee be refunded.
