Yes, well you can get an idea of the standard of 'Chingish' taught there from the copy above! I was there for a few months in 2006 and it was the worst teaching experience of my TEFL career. The bitterness is mostly on the side of the 'stuffs' who are bullied and cheated by a cynical management that is trading on a situation where most parents don't speak English. They don't know what appalling standards of English are being taught by the young, recently graduated Chinese girls that make up most of the 'stuffs'.

As we all know the ESL Jobs in China ads are fraught with strange and often humorous langauge, but this one I find particularly curious:

From posting: teaching positions through out China start ASAP (13 July 2006):

"Haoshi foreign language school located in coastal city, Yingkou which is specialized in english training. With hard and bitter struggle ,Haoshi foreign language school has become the most professional English training school in Yingkou city. There are more than 2000 students and 30 stuffs and 3 foreign teachers in school. Because of fast development, we want to recruit another 3 foreign teachers for this semester."

With 'hard and bitter struggle'??? Makes you wonder exactly what happened? Some kind of turf war? And what kind of weapons were the 'stuffs' given to defend their honorable institution?
