Personally I think the Chinese care far too much about whether they are liked by students and parents than they should. I remember when I was in school, I disliked most of my teachers, only a few in all my time as a student were likeable. That's normal, that's life. For some reason the Chinese care more about popularity than they do about learning. I suppose that is why they are so poor at thinking for themselves.
