I partially agree with what David said about ECC Kumho-Jungu, although I think he could've resolved his situation if he'd been more patient and played his cards right. Shouting in the office is generally a bad way of going about things. In any case, you probably saved yourself a lot of trouble by getting fired from that place.
ECC was a decent place when I first arrived, but as time passed, it gradually became a miserable place to work. Intimidation tactics and threats (Rachel), xenophobia (clear divide between Korean and foreigners/poor communication/no cooperation) and bad blood in the office (infesting newcomers) lead to this school's declining working environment. There has been some recent changes in management that is having a detrimental effect on the school's overall performance and working environment. But I won't get into that. In fact, I've had some grand ol' times in Korea ... it's just that none of them happened at work, unfortunately. But don't get me wrong, the kids were great (for the most part) but I wouldn't give credit to the school for that.
Going to work at that "school" was like walking into a cloud of despair, knowing that you are bound to get tagged by sniper fire. As it is, I strongly recommend that this school be avoided, don't give them more troll bait. The toll this job takes (constant stress-humiliation) is clearly not worth the 2 million won/month + apartment + airplane and benefits. There are many other jobs that are amazing, as most teachers have experienced after having left ECC Kumho-Jungu.

I just want to warn any potential adventure seekers planning on teaching in Korea to do your homework! Don't allow yourselves to be a victim. Get your copy of the signed contract. And above all, know what the regulations are for foreigners working in Korea. Best of luck dodging sniper fire! You'll need it.
