Suzhou has GREAT nightlife.
I am, if I may say so, the best damn DJ in China. Ask for me by name. ;-{)
I feature rock, but also play a lot of hip-hop, especially later in the evening. I LOVE hip-hop. Jurassic 5 is my favorite hip-hop group overall, but think Aesop Rock's "None Shall Pass" is an absolute monster song.
But I work in a nice friendly pub-style place...there's no dance floor, but writhing in the spaces is certainly permitted.

There are quite a number of (mostly Chinese) discos/nightclubs here. Frankly, those places make my skin crawl, but some folks like that scene and Suzhou definitely has it.

Suzhou has a large number of the usual run of employers- hellish kids' academies, nightmarish public schools, corrupt universities, dogmeat foundation programs/JV colleges, dodgy adult training centers- the works. It's really keen. ;-{)
