I am confused, if you have a friend teaching at this school, why not ask them about the school. I am sure since there are there right now they could give you the information you need.

Appearances can be decieving. Recruitment is done through Wise English in Beijing. While they seems to be earnest in assuring you that you will be taken care of, beware of where you are placed. Their intentions and that of the school you are placed do not go hand in hand. At Bei Hai, you are constantly told you are a good teacher but will find that there are many complaints behind your back. After being led to believe you are a good teacher, you are not rehired at the end of a semester. The excuse is something contained in the contract and there is nothing you can do about it. Also, you will not be paid when you are let go. Again this has something to do with wordiing in the contract. The contract is written in such a way the it protects them and not you in any form or fashion. If you decide to go with this company, make sure you have a back up plan. If you are a city person, give serious thoughts to going to Bei Hai School. They tell you it is in the city of Weifang, but it is really in the countryside about 40 minutes outside the city.
