Re: LCC Mok Po, South Korea

I sympathize with you, Donna. I too, had a very similar experience in South Korea. I went to lots of trouble and expense to get there under pressure from the school, only to met with deceit, underhanded tactics, and forced to teach more than originally agreed. The restrictions of the E2 visa allows employers to pull all sorts of stunts on foreigners because they know we have no options to quit and find a better employer. If we quit, we have depart the country quickly. Qualified teachers from English-speaking countries should avoid Korea -- for numerous reasons.

LCC Mok Po, South Korea

LCC in MokPo, South Korea, managed by Wendy, and her husband was a nightmare for me, and my child. They took me from the plane to the school to teach, signed the contract, and on the first payday, her husband took out a roll of money, said that there were some deductions, and put it back in his pocket. He wrote out one entire eleven inch page of deductions for every possible thing, at his whim, and we were left with four hundred thousand Won from my salary of two million. This was after flying there on Christmas day because they were desperate for a teacher. After doing that for them, we were ripped off terribly.
Avoid these people in Mok Po. We left town the next day with a shabby impression of Korea. Foreigners are severely taken advantage of in Korea. I like the food, the people are not stable mentally.
