Maybe you're an ok guy,but maybe not!As a foreigner you follow certain rules. But being me,very different from the herd,I choose to break them,Sorry, that's just me.And it can be done here in China over a long time. There are enough rogue recruiters here to assist! And I've worked in tandem with them to do so for a decade.....LOL .

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

It is certainly better to meet other people in a pub with a piano than meeting "John Latimer" aka Paul from Canada who is selling out his fellow foreign teachers to crappy schools in China!
You have lost your face already, man!

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

There is only one thing I could suggest:

Accept the fact that people do not trust you here. And act accordingly. And stop arguing here.

You are not asking for evidence to be proved "guilty" (or vice versa, "innocent"); you are asking to be trusted in your words and your engagement for WCIEC, and that is something else than what you have mentioned. Everyone can mistrust another person freely based on the fact that the other person is unknown, and this then is not a question of "guilt" or "innocence".

Tell these things apart first, and then appreciate another basic truth:

Trust me be earned, privately and in business life. No exceptions, and there is no other way.

Instead of your useless arguing here, what have you done to earn what you expect from other readers here?

It is time to go home, Paul.....Canada is waiting for you!

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

I am reasonably sure that I met you at a conference. Your first name is either "Peter" or "Dick"

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

"Eyu" is Chinese for "crocodile", and now have a guess who is "hiding" behind that alias....."

I have to admit, you have me completely baffled! I imagine that you are the type of person who has the following thoughts:

"I remember that once a week we - students and teachers - met in a local pub with a piaono, have lots of beer and singing old English pop songs. I enjoy singing and was "famous" for my deep voice, like a bass that sounded quite well in concord with the other, less dark voices of the younger student ladies. I did not play the piano then, but only when I was alone - because I prefer the classic music style to interpret on the piano in different ways."

I find it strange that teachers and students would meet with a piaono (whatever that is) in a local pub, but I bet the conversations were interesting.

"Paul - now,I believe this is your real name!" Then you believe in fantasy!!!

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

You have no real arguments to offer, Paul - now,I believe this is your real name!
Must be quite cold in Canada now, I guess.....grin.

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

It must certainly the famous (and like Zhang, "infamous"?) "Paul" from Canada.

BTW, "Eyu" is Chinese for "crocodile", and now have a guess who is "hiding" behind that alias.....

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

John Latimer or whatever you real name may be - why don`t you appreciate the fact that many people around here do not trust and strongly dislike recruiters, and that there are good reasons for that? I suggest you stop arguing here.

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

John are you really are Paul, why don't you just admit it? You haven't clearly stated whether you are or are not Paul. Which leads me to believe that the deflection of this ongoing question highly favors the conclusion that you are indeed Paul. Maybe the shame has set it and you believe you are someone else now? Manipulating many of your own people does not come without guilt... yes?

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

Favorable, your quote, "You gave away your identity "John" when you said "Obviously you don't know the person" something that could only be obvious to you if you knew the person, meaning you are that person." It would also be obvious to me that he didn't know that person if he could not tell the difference between the two of us by my responses. Your quote, "Not a great leap of logic, and quite obvious." Flawed logic and not so obvious. You should think more clearly before posting something you assume. LOL

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

Deborah, What would you suggest I do? Where I come from, one is innocent until proven guilty. On this post, one is guilty until they prove their innocence.

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

You gave away your identity "John" when you said "Obviously you don't know the person" something that could only be obvious to you if you knew the person, meaning you are that person. Not a great leap of logic, and quite obvious. Hello Paul, nice of you to finally grace us with your "illustrious" prescence. LOL

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

Conjecture on your end. You obviously do not know the person your are speaking of. Sounds like you only know of him.

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

Perhaps John is none other than Paul......,the Canadian long-time resident of Shanxi's 'Salt Lake City', formerly appointed as head of FT's by that city's major recruiter of FT's,and of course an excellent teacher to boot!

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

"John Latimer", is that your real name?
How can we know whether it is?
Would add a bit to the credibility of what you are saying.

Re: WCIEC ( Wancheng International )

What your "not wild about" is an opinion, your opinion. Information posted should be based on fact.
Your quote, "If you are going to be vague and offer no details, simply saying you are doing better", then you apparently didn't read the specifics in my posting. You also imply that by paying a higher salary one can salvage a tarnished reputation. While this is partly true a company can't lose the stigma of being bad by only increasing the pay rate. A bad company that pays more money is still a bad company.
Your quote, "Higher then average pay offered" are words that you are trying to put in my mouth. I never stated that we pay higher than average. Read the posting.
Our teachers make between 5,200RMB & 6,000RMB. Not as high as the bigger cities but well within the norm. All is relative the cost of living is higher in the bigger cities.
