This and many other posts are why I say that ESL businessmen and managers in China are the most pathetic human beings I have ever met. Not only does he totally rip off your son, give you a bad name for referring them, and continues to disrespect you after false promises, but he is surprised when your son decides to leave and even has you guys stalked and threatened by a bunch of goons. I would say this is animal like behavior, but I would obviously be insulting animals.
It's beyond comprehension. Does he expect your son to starve, be treated like a doormat, and his own personal slave and like it? I honestly don't know what goes through the mind of these idiots. I hear so many stories of them ripping people off and then getting mad when they want to leave. Yes, it's a major inconvenience for them, to find another person to rip off. I could understand if it was just one sick and mentally diseases individual but it seems to be a mass of them all around Asia. Do they all attend a school for ripping off foreigners and then trying to make them feel guilty when the foreigners want to leave? "What about the students, they are innocent! Don't leave the students!"
Honestly, I have met some stupid people back home but I have never even fathomed that this kind of stupidity existed. That's why so many foreigners get cheated. Of course, it could be because they don't do enough research, but I think the sole reason is simply because they can't imagine that such low-life, degenerate, creatures that call themselves 'human' could ever exist in the Education sector (or in any sector).
The phenomenal amount of selfishness is mind blowing. Thank you for your warning.

This private language school does not have any permission to hire foreigners, but does not tell this to the numerous teachers they have employed. He, Mr Yang, employs you with a "contract" which he never intends to comply with. He is well-known for his "deductions" on your salary and numerous teachers have had to leave the city with absolutely no salaries paid to them. In fact I have met quite a few foreign teachers in my brief stay in this city(3 months) that felt the need to warn me of this man and his school. Unfortunately, I heard the first warnings after already convincing my son to start working for him. Needless to say, at the end of the 1st month, when my son had to be paid, the "deductions" were so many, he was paid the meager amount of 450rmb for more than 160 hours worked that month! After a long meeting with this man, which included us, his parents, he was promised that he will get the rest of his owed salary and that all of this was just a "little" misunderstanding and won't happen again. Against our advice, my son worked for another month, same story, he received only 210 rmb since he worked only 140 hours this time! Stay away if you don't want hours of frustration and really very disrespectful treatment!On top of this when we decided to leave the city and he saw he was going to lose yet another foreign teacher, we were threatened and had a whole mafia-like gang trying to prevent us from going..scary is the least I can say. We had to go to the police that day and they escorted us to the bus terminal, otherwise we would not have been able to have left at all!
