Re: school management

Asking such folks to remove their blinders and be aware of the negatives of teaching in China - especially at training centers, is an exercise in futility. Almost as futile as trying to get the training centers themselves to stop their incessant scamming. Trouble is, there are more of them all the time. The latest scam is the "IELTS" schools. Yeah, there are so many students that think such schools will provide them a seamless path toward passing the IELTS exam and give them a sure route to the good ol' USA or elsewhere that there are more and more of them opening everyday. What a joke. I don't say this without experience. I've visited a few of them and all they're offering is the same old off beat song and the same old clumsy dance.

I think I'll open a school. I'll call it Surefire IELTS and TOEFL School. I'll hire a couple Chinese teachers who are barely capable of communicative discourse in English. Then I'll throw in a white faced native speaker or two just for good measure and have them put on their bozo the clown outfits. I'll promise said FTs everything and give them nothing. I'll charge the students between 3-5000 kwai a month. When they fail the IELTS or TOEFL exam, I'll tell their parents that their son or daughter has low motivation. I'll also explain that the reason for the constant turnover of FTs is that they didn't show any capability as teachers because they just don't understand how to deal with such special students. Later, after I've raked in some serious cash, I'll close down and move on the another locale and start all over again. Yep, to hell with this whole teaching gig, I can make a lot more money as a scam artist.

Re: school management

Some would say that the complainants are not the spammers, but the 'schools' themselves that are attracting teachers under false pretences and half truths.
That's what sickens me,amongst others, who also feel the need to expose the kind of dirty tricks employed regularly by many Chinese bosses of training centres and private schools to dupe newbies who haven't done their research properly!
I'm not a new kid on the block - I know the kind of crap that goes on here unabated. You can't soft-talk me,no chance!

school management

I ask myself why you feel the need to write such an lengthy and hysterical tirade? I'm sick of people registering just to post huge rants about schools, and if you search online you'll find them spamming every single esl forum available.
