What you said about low salaries paid to African blacks also applies to Filipinos,of course! But IELTS School doesn't hire Filipinos any more.

Re: Feeling of IELTS School

Don't fall into the trap of believing that because this school, or any other for that matter, hires African Blacks, it means that they are honorable. I doubt seriously that this is the case. I would bet that if they were to hire a white teacher, they would pay that teacher more and ask him to be quiet about his salary. I have personal experience with this. I once had a colleague from Ghana who did the same job as I and worked a few hours more a week than I. When I found out I was making 7,000 a month and he was making 4,000, I left. Since then, I've found out that this is not at all uncommon in China. Therefore, I hope you'll take that into consideration. That is, don't be so quick to praise them when it's probable that the only reason they hire African Blacks is because they can pay them less due to the fact that Africans find it quite difficult to find a job in China - even if many, if not most, who apply for jobs here are well qualified to do so.

Didier,I wouldn't be so quick to heap so much praise on Yuncheng IELTS School for having employed more than just a few non-white FT's if I were you. That has been done simply because very few white louwai apply for teaching posts to there.I know for a fact that whites are preferred by said recruiter, but teaching in such a backwater place only appeals to very few of them.
However,I can appreciate why it would be a good place for you to teach at as you would be able to enjoy yourself in the company of your African brothers there. So I hope you succeed in getting a job there.Good luck with your job application!

Re: Feeling of IELTS School

Yeah man, I think it's wrong telling us to not be trusting IELTS School. I saw thier website has many pictures of black teachers having happy faces. It shows all us IELTS School has no color bar. All blacks should be thanking the good Lord for that school here. A black in China along-side my fellow blacks is a luctury I have not been having here after I came. I'll be teaching and partyng with blacks if my applying for IELTS School for new fall semester is suceeding with God's help, God be praised!
