Re: Hall of Shame - BRAVO!

Treats work well with animals! What the hell, people are animals too! Look at Pavlov's dog. Slober, slober! Drool, drool!

Re: Hall of Shame - BRAVO!

What you said about giving students treats to eat reminds me of what my former FT colleague did some years ago at a junior college in Northern China -
Once he realized that his students were dissatisfied with his lessons,he tried to win them over by giving them chocolates.I saw the evidence, the wrappers, lying in a neatly-swept-up pile at the back of the classroom. But his attempt to ingratiate his charges didn't work.In spite of that, they wrote bad things about his teaching on the assessment forms they were asked to complete.
This prompted me to inform mine not to expect me to follow suit re culinary treats as I didn't believe in spoiling students! It didn't do me any harm as my report was at least satisfactory.
Offering students free candies, including ginger snaps, etc may have a detrimental effect on your popularity as it might be construed as a sign of weakness on your part.Take care!
