Yes, the truth is often unsavory. Things are not quite as some would have us believe. My question is a simple one: Why can't China with all of its cash reserves, more adequately address the most important issues that have to do with the well being of its people? All the talk about "harmonious society" is simply that - just a lot of blah, blah, blah. Moreover, their reasoning that countries such as America should reduce their carbon emissions before they should be expected to do so is specious at best. It's really about the fat cats keeping their pockets padded with more cash than they know what to do with. Global warming is only part of the problem. Air and water pollution are just as threatening and the Chinese, for the sake of the whole world, not just their own country, needs to immediately address these issues and stop their back pedaling. Yep, the fat cats keep eating their shark fin soup while the poor folks and villagers keep on suffering.
