Re: Cambridge CITC Sudan Teachers Beware!!!!!

Any recent news/referal about CITC SUDAN?

I'm considering accepting a position with CITC - Sudan and would like to know from any forum members if they have any recent reference/news about the school.

Does anyone have any recent news/reference about CITC in Sudan?

Does anyone have suggestions about alternative schools/institutes in Sudan where I might apply to teach English?

  • To sjlmnde.. Judging from your post, I have to assume that you were fired from CITC. Is this the case?

I would recommend you to look for ElHakim centre/ the british council or Bakht AlRuda in Sudan. If you would like elementory or high school then look for private schools in Amarat or ABC Language school in Riyad and there are many more. ElHakim group have a facebook account. Actually ElHakim is the family name of the owners. there is also NIIT in riyad. its a centre for teaching IT and English.
All of those I mentioned are excellent centres/ elementory or high schools and they treat teachers in an excellent way in addition to being honest from the beginning before signing any contract.
There is also Grammar school and New Horizon School.
About myself I am a Sudanese English teacher. I know everything that you mentioned about CITCS is true cuz I used to be there. Its a shame ofcourse what's going on but I know also that in my country there are many other excellent places.
If you would like more information please do not hesitate to ask me. Reply to this message and I will see it.

I am an english Sudanese teacher and to prove to you that i have 100% no benefit from this message I am now studying in Japan (teacher training course ) about education disabilities. so i have nothing to do with the centres i mentioned above except that i used to work there before coming to japan and until now just good friendship relationship . They have a facebook account and they are well behaved and respectable people whom i will always consider as my second family and my best friends.

Thanks for your comments Turnoi. We have heard many stories regarding CITC and to be honest they sound not a reliable company to work for. I would like to work in Africa and Kenya as it sounds like a great place to work at. Do you know any other countries in Africa or Sudan that would be looking for experienced teachers? Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards
