Some one asked for more info on North American ESL School.
First they offered a friend a contract. Not a bad deal 7-8000 for around 20 hours a week. When he went in to talk to them they gave him a totally different contract and tried to get him to sign it. Doesn't speak well.
They tend to use a lot of non-native speakers and pay really poorly.
Also the "school" mostly farms you out to middle and high schools so you will be busing around town to different places all the time. See the comments about New Times. More or less the same deal as Irene will give you.
Don't take the offer, keep looking and find a job at a junior high or high school yourself. You will be much happier.

Sichuan University ILTC Intensive Language Training Center (It is on the campus, but really just a crappy training center with really crappy pay!)
Word of caution
Sichuan Minorities University -- They have had a difficult time keeping teachers, and the foreign affairs officer can be a bit of tyrant.
Modern English -- Even for crappy training centers this place is pretty low.
