I was to work for these half whacked people. When my consular agent that processed my tourist Visa at the Chinese Consulate in Toronto sent me a message saying that they we're already processing my passport without having it in their hands, to a F Business Visa, I said good bye. And when my good friend that worked with me in Toronto for my Ministry that now works in Beijing at the Embassy called me to say, that they lodged a complaint against me, I left the apartment incognito, telling the Fip that was there, that I was going to a Friends. They called me using a phone that had no caller id, so no number would show, so I would answer, they got 4 different people to call me this way. Using at least 9 different phones. Telling me that if I did not come back, they would make a complaint at the police station and what so ever, blah blah blah. The owner of the school, so called Mama Wang bang chitty chitty bang bang, or what ever the hell, Rachel and all of them. Do not go to this school, and do not respond to any ads that has the contact email of "jilinwelcomeyou@ what ever...." because that is this school. And I would not be suprised if that the owner is family with Bill Zhang from Songyuan Foreign Studies College AKA Eastern Star

This school is the new name stated about a year ago for Tian Shou. This school just like others in Jilin Province are very corrupt. There are several schools in Changchun like Tian shou and non of them should be trusted. I would say avoid any language school and stick with the universities. If it sounds too good, it probably is not real. Most of these schools will tell you what you want to hear to get you to come, then the reality is much different. Most will lie cheat and steal from even their closest teachers.
This so nice sounding school is the one you should beware the most. They are well known for keeping your passports and using them for illegal activities. The "official" contract has at least 2 different names for the school, but if you call the numbers on the front page, they will answer somewhere else in another school with no relation whatsoever to them. You will be sent to teach to the countryside for an hour (but it's 2 hours to get there, plus 2 more to go back, but it only counts as an hour taught). They will get into your apartment and steal things from you "in order to assure you don't quit", because everybody there is looking for the chance to get their stuff and flee. Going to the police of Foreign Affairs Bureau is less than useless cause they know almost everybody there (there are lots of good guys at the Bureau, but they are hard to reach) and instead of processing your complaint they will call the school to get someone there to talk to you. Oh yeah, and if you happen to succeed on this they will call you and threaten you to dead, they will send gangs to beat you, and will use fear as weapon to keep you silent. I know cause not long ago we made a strike and a good 20 teachers left right away.
Another reason why they keep your passports is s that you never realize you don't have a working permit. They just go on renewing your business and Tourist visas.
So teachers, be careful when you come to China, try to stay far from Dongbei, things are backwards up here, or at least choose carefully and don't be surprised if you have to perform a midnight run.
