Re: LINGUAPHONE CHINA BANKRUPT

how smart. a social networking link. marc, i am sorry you're a victim of this "linguaphone fraud". my observation is that people behind this do not have to flee the country. any western brand name is abused in this country as it has taken advantage of the western ambitions and the decentralization in international companies. licensing here is a rather corrupt process and foreign owners care about their profit margins and size more than the quality of their products.
cheers and beers to the virus called "globalazation" :LOL

Re: LINGUAPHONE CHINA BANKRUPT

This is the man who owned Linguaphone franchises in China.

He is clearly still in China or perhaps Shanghai and has not fled as many thought. From my understanding he is a Taiwanese American and it looks like he is well connected with the government in China.

Click link to see Warren Ching's profile.

I was one of the teachers who worked at Linguaphone on a P/T basis. Since he closed it no one has contacted me. Recently he gave me his connection to Linkedin otherwise I would never have known. I can say I have never met him personally but he owes a lot of students, teachers and staff money including me.

I wonder if there is anything we can do.

Please advise,

LINGUAPHONE CHINA BANKRUPT

Linguaphone China has gone completely, suddenly and irreversibly bankrupt according to reports in the published editions of The China Daily, the Guangzhou Morning Post and The Shanghai Daily. The owners and franchise owners have simply melted away, not having paid rent not other such bills for months and now not have paid the foreign teachers in their employ. Anyone dealing with the company is seriously urged to take notice.
