Re "Non-profit" vs. non-profit

We are a 501 C 3 non profit organization designated as such by the US IRS and monitored by the Oregon Department of Justice. So you are saying that because we do not solicit donations we are less of a non profit organization than yours?

Oh thats just silly.

And on the subject of deposits, we do not actually require them but recommend people pay them to ensure their spot on a course. If people wish to take their chances and just show up and hope there is a spot available, they can. A few do. most realize that is far riskier than deciding to take a course and paying a deposit.
