Here is a list of some countries where even foreign teachers could go to earn a higher salary in China with less hours per week than in China:
1. Saudi Arabia 2. Emirates and other states in the area. 3. Norway (with one of the highest pays in Europe but also with taxation) 4. South Korea
5. Taiwan 6. EU nations. This list is not comprehensive, and other places may be added there as well if the necessary details were known.

Money is only paper worth virtually nothing until you spend it. Are you trying to tell us that cigarettes and beer are cheaper in the countries you've listed above than in China, laughable! As for Norway, I don't believe in working for the taxman!
I had made an arithmetic mistake re the cost of beer where I'm 'working' a parttime job classed a full time one by the Chinese with pay double what my Chinese colleagues are paid, and better housing that is rent-free, unlike them. At 2.3 Yuan/large bottle, my monthly earnings equate to a little more than 2500 bottles of beer, not 1000 as I had stated in my previous post. Not bad for sb with just a bachelor's, not even in English! In fact, the purchasing power of an FT's salary in China is a good indicator of his wealth. If you wanna earn pots of money, teach in Zimbabwe. But there a loaf of bread will cost you a small fortune, so get realistic, not ballistic!
