@ Sanguine, agreed about Korea. So many complaints about such a small country, esp. when compared to China is a cause for concern.

Has there EVER been anything positive about teaching in South Korea on these boards?!

@ Silverboy, I wouldn't hold my breath on this. I have heard from numerous americans when I was in China, that South Korea is a hellish racist pit of a place to work. And you are right, China is not so far behind, and getting worse IMHO.

Like I said, Korea is likely an even worse place to work than China, at least in a general sense. Too many complaints for such a small country.

I've experienced everything from hatred and jealousy from just walking along the street with a Chinese girl, in China, who wasn't even a romantic partner, just because I had the misfortune to look Russian or like Xinjiang ren.
When I told people I was in fact, English, from the UK, they apologized and walked away.

The society needs to change, and yes it needs anti discrimination laws, but I don't see them forthcoming alas.
