I sent e-mail to this bloke who likes bounding up on the roof of his teaching compound (at the crack of dawn because he says there's no hot water during the day) to hang his smalls (hand-washed because washing machines rarely work) so it can get dirty and smelly in the Beijing sunshine, to invite him back to defend himself- he'll need to do something since the way he's left things FT's are hardly going to be falling over one another to enlist at his fine establishment. He can actually string words together quite well, but really should be using his talents on perverse comedy writing, or to lull one off to sleep. I'll be back in China myself today.
