Xin Yu, WECI, Eagle, Victoria, and a host of other schools in Changchun need to be avoided. the Chines boss sells visas, sells imported cars and generally does not care about the ft at all. He is more interested in profit than teaching or teachers. They go through teachers regularly and the teachers that are there are generally not skilled. In fact for a time there were several drug users. These private schools need to be shut down. if you really want to teach in Changchun teach at the universities. STAY AWAY FROM THE PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN CHANGCHUN!!

I did work for this company and even though its not the worst out there, its certainly not the best either.
They do pay you on time, they provide decent accomodations, and they do provide working visas for most of their employees but if you are young (between 19 and 22) they will trick you into coming to China only to tell you later that you are not eligible to a working visa and now that you are there, you have no choice but to work for them. It happened to two of my colleagues. They dont tell you however that they can bribe the government so you they can get an actual working visa for you because they really cheap. I met someone from another company who worked legally and she was 20.
Other than that, they will pay you overtime but you cannot choose if you work overtime or not. I know someone who had to work 110 hours per month, and yes he made a lot of money but he was also overworked and when he said that it was too much, they just said that they couldnt do anything about it but they finally agreed to give him two weeks of unpaid vacations. Youre not really paid by a monthly rate either, they pay by the hour so if you fall sick, too bad for you.
The pay is a real joke. Most companies will pay you more, even if you have nothing else than a high school diploma. Yes, as they say, Changchun is really cheap but its not as cheap as they pretend it is. Frugal chinese people can live okay lives with 900RMB, but trust me, you will eat in restaurants most of the time because finding western ingredients in changchun is either impossible or crazily expensive, you will want to indulge in foreign products and most importantly, you will want to travel.
If you really want a first experience in China, you can sign with them, I made lots of contacts while I was working with them that led me to very interesting opportunities, they are legit, they are not thieves, they dont keep your passport. However, they will try make a foreign import card on your name and they will give you 1000RMB for it, but the big boss sells these cards for over 50000RMB, because foreigners dont pay taxes on imports. If you do accept a job with them NEVER accept a deal like this, it could put you in deep trouble.
