The provincial universities are normally very reputable.
The smaller city one's less so.

If you want to find a place that is truly okay and reputable, you need to try a public university that is well known (preferably a uni. which carries the name of the Province that it's in and ONLY the name of the Province). Usually the "short but sweet and to the point" names for these universities have a responsibility to uphold their respective local cultures. So try Anhui University, Sichuan University, Zhejiang University, Liaoning University, etc. Otherwise you're playing esl russian roulette.

This is the second time I try to search for the reputation of a "school" that contacted me to work in China, and the second time I see it has bad reviews. So, no BoAo / Zhuowen or findworkabroad.
Does any one have a site were the ads are not posted by scammers?
Please give a link to help a fellow teacher, or I will have to go through all the rotten agencies of China first....

Ha Ha, complaints will be held by our very corrupt and evil staff you mean? Get a life, corruption is high on the governments agenda, and scum recruiters like you will get it in the end, it is a matter of time. Your advertising posts blatently flaunt the Chinese law anyway, so if anybody has half a brain, they know to avoid you like the plague....seriously people, do not use findworkabroad or any of its affiliates...the woman in Guangzhou is known to cheat and lie, and came from a well noted and discussed place in Guangzhou (WALTON) notorious for its treatment of foreigners and Chinese alike, so probably cut her teeth there as that is just as crap.

This place cannot process a working visa for you...which means they are not legal and neither will you be. Infact, take a look here www.findworkabroad.com find the position titled "English Teachers wanted in Zhujiang" they are the "Exclusive" agents for Lion King who are the "Exclusive" agents for China Southern Airlines....a load of Horse poop. I was interviewed by them, a complete bait and switch tactic once i was there, offered a tonne of stuff and verbally said i was hired, only to get a "F...You"! email two days later...Yet another crappy place that wants to call itself a training center. The place is located inside some Hotel in Zhujiang New Town, not easy to get to, probably designed that way as to avoid investigating officials....When i was there i saw two teachers of African or Carribean race, both looked thoroughly downtrodden and not that i am William Shakespeare, but the English being written on the board was awful, to say the very least, and i understand that they have opened a branch in Baiyun, so the advertised postings of needing 10 teachers will be for both branches, so a misleading post again. Anybody else had experience of meeting Matthew the cocky Director from there? What a P...k!

I will open up a "school" called The Apple Dumpling Gang teaches English! It's a win win situation. One is the name of a disney movie nobody watched after the 90's, thereby reinvigorating the movie franchise. The other is an educational body that can seriously be considered for being the worst in the whole wide world!! Together they will create the best working environment in the world nobody will ever want to go to! HAHAHAHAHA!!
