Re: Wall Street English

Turnoi in fact was not justifying any of his opinions about china in such a general manner. He clearly stated China adopting the bad parts of capitalism. As such, the inability of this country to further educate its people to not spit on the ground, not urinate in public, not lift up shirts when you're hot and letting the world see you fat underbelly, and the lack of proper education with regards to general etiquette which the government has done NOTHING to improve makes the country deserving of continued criticism. Also remember it is the chinese who actively choose to act and behave like this. If we followed your logic then the lack of proper conduct that is rampant in the country would be okay then?

Hahaha?? You sound very knowledgeable here. It was actually the C.R.A.P. poster that brought his supposed corporate structure information into this thread. So the Chinese culture in general has only learned business practices from the present West? Let's try this one: Scholarly achievement as the main means of upward mobility in government civil service. Is this another "western" concept borrowed by the Chinese just like business practices are? I thought Linguists were supposed to be of a descriptive bent, not a prescriptive. Can anyone really be arrogant as to think the west has introduced the concept of capitalism to the Chinese?

Are you sure you have a PHd in linguistics? You must be a little more into ancient history than what your posts seems to indicate.

Hmm..Am I really "another" interested party or is this board being infiltrated?
