Re: Re Lulu International Exchange School, worth a gig?

I don't need to work; I have enough stashed away back home

You are an accomplished educator...that much is evident and beyond doubt.

As you are financially secure, why not put what you know to good use, teach poor kids in gansu or volunteer at some NGO project.

Training centres are ultimately no good, and run by people who have no interest in or passion for education, nor do they care very much for the welfare of others.

Re: Re Lulu International Exchange School, worth a gig?

I am offering my 12 years experience as an educator and 18 years experience as an IT consultant to help a group of high quality students achieve something in life.

A group of high quality students? Don't make me laugh! It would be more accurate to say that that group comprises students from wealthy families. That does not necessarily equate with high levels of either knowledge or ability.
I should add that the preliminary test results are of no consequence in some cases. As a teacher, you can end up with low quality students in front of you. The school director will likely place them there to make money! Probably, he (or she) will have already promised their parents to use his (or her) clout to get their offspring places at venerable Western universities irrespective of GAC assessments!
There are many negative posts already about GAC/ACT on the net, some of which have been submitted by whistleblowers. I myself have experienced firsthand the dirty tricks that go on at a GAC center in China. You're fooling no-one with your words of praise for your 'Exchange School'.

Re: Re Lulu International Exchange School, worth a gig?

Just for the record, I am not chasing money. I was offered several jobs and chose this one. I have worked at universities previously. I lectured at two top universities in Australia for 6 years. I don't need to work; I have enough stashed away back home. I am offering my 12 years experience as an educator and 18 years experience as an IT consultant to help a group of high quality students achieve something in life.

Re: Re Lulu International Exchange School, worth a gig?

You GW types always work at garbage training centres, and are always looking for more money. Stop being greedy, narcicisstic, and have some morals and standards for a change. Ofcourse you will never work at a university, no chance for a "promotion" there, am I right? No way to climb the pathetic and disgusting ESL "corporate ladder"

High time someone called it as it is! Well said mate.

I fully expect the usual parade of GW's at every level to condemn you. But that is just to delude themselves they are doing great, when they know they are not, and just need the money for drinking, smoking, and convincing their friends back home they are living the expat lifestyle. What a big joke!
