you yourself refer to the rates proposed by ASTTI, how do you explain that they suggest a minimum rate for proofreading per document of 50 CHF, while Langage Direct was ready to pay only around 12 Euro in total for 5 documents?
Is the explanation perhaps what you may call exploitation????
So, if Language Direct is such a reputable company, and if, at the same time, you yourself refer to the rates proposed by ASTTI, how do you explain that they suggest a minimum rate for proofreading per document of 50 CHF, while Langage Direct was ready to pay only around 12 Euro in total for 5 documents?
Are you working for Language Direct as well?
No, I am a Switzerland based translator that knows of this company. They have a very good reputation in Switzerland, and have been nominated for innovation awards here.
However, the standards of the sources you have quoted in your post are sub-standard.
I take personal offense at this. The first source quoted was from the Schweizerischer Übersetzer-, Terminologen-, und Dolmetscher-Verband of which I am an active member. This organization sets the accepted rates for translation and proofreading in Switzerland, where Language Direct is based. There is no more official source than this.
