Well done, Dragonized. You've opened up a can of worms. That said, a lousy American high school and a private Chinese foreign language school have a lot in common, so it's an ideal partnership that will stand the test of time!
As an American, I can tell you this. New Jersey is probably THE MOST corrupt state in the USA. It wouldn't be surprising if a public school didn't know any better and decided to have a partnership with a "school" in china, why not? It's not like the public school officials aren't getting a cut of that money, they most definitely are! I looked up the ranking of Linden High School in New Jersey and found out they were ranked 284th out of 316 High Schools in New Jersey on the New Jersey Monthly Magazine for the year 2010. You won't be working with quality, that part can be guaranteed.
Hello and thanks again for your comments. If the school was a language mill/training school why would they be looking for a US History teacher? Also they have a very active exchange program/partnership with Linden High School in NJ. Do you think a NJ public school would have relationship with a training school?
