Re: LA PETITE ACADEMY OF BOUGIVAL

Hi all,

I understand that not everyone can get along with one person, no matter how friendly or caring that person can be. That's just how life works. However, I find it odd that all of the above negative reviews of La Petite Academy have been straight out derogatory and not at all constructive. I have not been convinced to completely rule out the business after reading just angry comments and insults, whether translated in English, Turkish or French. If you truly think the academy is incompetent, I believe the criticism should be constructive and informative, rather than a personal attack on a specific person.

As you may have already guessed, I am a friend of Tulay Farra. Now, before you jump to conclusions that I am defending her because I am her friend, I want you to know that prior to our friendship, I was working for her while we were both employees of a client-serving firm. At the time, I was a staff and she was my senior manager. Working in a corporate setting involved very long hours and high pressure deadlines. Despite that, Tulay always took the time to explain the work and teach the concepts to me, and, during the long hours, made sure that I was following along and doing okay. Based on my personal experience working with her, I believe she is extremely competent and knowledgable. She is also very personable and because of that, we became friends. I find it hard to believe that by switching careers, she would suddenly change her management style and become a "bully."

Lastly, I am not trying to "attack" the two people above who have had negative experiences. Whatever happened is between them and Tulay, and any personal qualms should be sorted out between them offline. I am now an English language teacher in Spain, and hope to use this website in a professional manner. The above reviews were portraying just one view and I felt that it warranted another perspective from someone who has worked with her for more than just one week.

Thanks,

Christine

Re: LA PETITE ACADEMY OF BOUGIVAL

Tulay Farra is a lawyer who suddenly decided to open up and run a "school" because a degree on law qualifies her to be a professional educator - she thinks! Very "professional"....LOL

I wouldn't be surprised if the reason she stopped practicing was because of incompetence in that respective field which led to her getting out of it. Since she's freeloading another reputable educational body's name I gather she wasn't a lawyer specializing in copyright XD
