I agree with a lot you wrote. While China does have it's fair share, I found the gulf region to have plenty of fawning, butt licking GW types, they would even sell out fellow FT's just to "get ahead", even with no real financial gain for them in it, except perhaps a renewed contract.
I often wondered how many of them were able to function decently and properly in "society" back home. Most likely, they couldn't...

You meet GW types in every country you work in. These ppl label us, use us, and kick us to the curb when we don't fit their agenda anymore. We as teachers need labels too to balance our mindset and cope with reality. The GW label is a proper one and one that is all too proper to use on a regular basis. I think Turnoi was just being ironic and cynical, not that he needs any explaining done by a 3rd party but I do think we need to repeart ourselves sometimes since there is a constant supply of GW's coming onto these boards. Not just old ones but new ones as well.

Turnoi, I think your a nice guy, but I'm getting seriously worried by this obsession of yours with grovelling weasels. If it is indeed some people you are referring to, life is too short, enjoy yours,,,and forget all about them!
