Re: Re Clifford School in Guangzhou, China

The hospital at Clifford is not that bad. I recently had a wonderful experience there with the birth of my first child. The staff were all extremely professional and did an excellent job. Top notch all the way. I have also heard that other departments at Clifford Hospital are very professional and do an excellent job. Don't judge based on posts made on the internet. We all have different expectations, so it's better to judge by your own experiences.

As for Clifford School, I have worked there for more than 5 years. Teaching at Clifford has been an amazing experience. Sure, there have been colleagues who have been less than professional, but that is to be expected in any industry. The administration is not as bad as some would have you believe. Again, there are areas for improvement, but overall the administration does a fine job. The negatives are mostly minor issues that are not really worth mentioning. The only thing I would say is that I am very glad that we have a new supervisor in my department. The last one was horribly unfair, unprofessional, vindicative, and basically a nasty piece of work. Several teachers had issues with this person, but I learned a lot from having to deal with this person, so good comes from bad in this case.

Clifford School is a great place to teach and I would have not problem sending my child to learn at this school. In fact, I will be sending my child there once he is old enough to attend kindergarten. The director of the school has been really great over the years and I have learned a lot from our meetings.

Don't listen to all these negative posts. Come and observe a few lessons and decide for yourself.

Go Clifford!!!!

P.S. The associate principal is actually doing a lot to improve things and help make the school more professional. He will treat you fairly if you do your job well, act professionally, work hard, etc...it's only those who think they can do as little as possible that seem to have issues...any boss would give those kind of employees are tough time...so it's unfair to only look at one side of the story. He is a good leader and I am happy working under him!
