Re: ESLConsultant China & Liaoning Medical University

Jinzhou doesn't sound like a nice place to visit anyway, hope he finds something better.

Agreed, but due dilligence pays off.

Turnoi has always used google earth to look up places, that is not a bad idea, as is posting on the internet, and doing prior research.

I quite like my current locale well enough. Small enough to keep out the GW's and learn plenty of Chinese and live cheaply, but equidistant to plenty of big cities with bars and western goods, should I feel the urge for some luxuries or the need to get out of lala land.

That place sounds like hell!!

The things that have happened to you can hardly rationally be explained in these terms - objectively spoken. Subjectively spoken, from your point of view, they perhaps can. But I highly doubt that this would be correct.

Hey i'm going to have to disagree with you on this one Turnoi, there is no real objectivity technically since it's always human beings speaking about things. I will say that maybe some of the things that were stated were not necessarily related to the work situation that this guy experienced, but there were plenty of real, shocking things that he did experience. He did use one or more words that may be deemed inappropriate but the crass, callous attitude of how he was treated cannot be ignored either. Jinzhou doesn't sound like a nice place to visit anyway, hope he finds something better.
