Re: Ivy English School / Jiamusi, China

Kanadian, I agree, that is just ridiculous.

But then that is China for you, a place for those with no experience and/or qualifications to bignote themselves and brown nose their way into positions that they are not even remotely qualified for....a place for GW Yuppies looking to make a fast book in short, avoid those unqualified GW go getter types, best way always!

100% San Mig ! I have a yank who is allegedly my " leader " my question was, did he shave yet ? I think he's 25 - 3 year at this school, next question is, does he have a degree ? But that's not my job to review teachers credentials.. ha ha

Re: Ivy English School / Jiamusi, China

I agree it sounds crap, and is frankly insulting to the older teachers.

At my current middle school I am due to leave, the last teacher, a younger Canadian GW and the teacher before him a younger brit GW, both let the woman who is in charge of the sports room, have free roam of the FT's flat to do her laundry in the washing machine and take a shower in the spare bathroom. I put a stop to it from day 1, and was told by my FAO that I am arrogant and don't understand China....he soon shut up when I threatened to leave if there was anymore nonsense or skullduggery.

GW's are [edited], as they make it harder for all FT's in China imho, [edited]
