I am very wary about you. I know Beth, she is not a nice person and can't be trusted. Beihai is nothing special, and being in a nice location is certainly not a reason to work at a second rate school.
Remember, us laowai don't owe the Chinese anything. They are mostly self-serving, and it is our duty to get whatever we can from them.

Yeah, sure, and how much did LTC pay you to write that little gem of a post?
First of all, let me say, I can understand the negative reviews of LTC. However, I have found working there to be a pleasurable experience, to an extent. I have had my share of ups and downs. Beth, the owner, can be very reasonable, if you are flexible. She has been nothing but fair to me, although I am quite an easy going dude. That being said, I would recommend potential like minded job seekers to absolutely give LTC a chance. Beihai is a fantastic city. The city alone, is enough of a draw to deal with any problems you may face. The work staff is also amazing. All of the employees are as sweet as can be and teaching with them has been a rewarding experience. Please give LTC a shot. An open minded soul would be more than happy to find themselves at LTC in Beihai. I would be glad to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the school and/or city. You won't regret the move to Beihai!
