I don't disagree with you, but I have seen at my school applicants be turned down if they don't have the right qualifications, which is why I defend my current school. I have been in schools in the past where that hasn't been the case and I wouldn't defend those schools for a moment.

There's an embarrassment of teachers (FT's) in China that do have the correct qualifications, on paper at least. Unfortunately, many of them do know as much English, as labourers in Fife's Banana Processing Plant. Certainly not as knowledgeable in the language as a lot of the FT's which you would like to replace in a sort of pseudo-academic purge.
